Exploring Cades Cove

Purple flowers in East Tennessee mountains

I’m a few days behind, but I went up to Cades Cove with my friend Lissa on Saturday, August 25th. We walked about four-ish miles around the loop. We weren’t planning on doing so much walking, but apparently the loop is closed to car traffic until after 10:00 am on Saturdays. Who knew?! After swatting away some angry gnats, we began our nature walk, taking in the exclusively beautiful scenery found in the Smoky Mountains. Bicyclists and runners sped past us, but we took our time, pausing here and there to capture photos of God’s splendor.
