Cades Cove Coffee Co.

Cades Cove Coffee Co. came to me wanting a brand that actually felt like the Smokies, not just a coffee bag with a mountain silhouette slapped on it. I built the identity around a hand-illustrated bear (hat and all) and a loose linework outline of the Cades Cove Loop Road, right where their coffee is roasted in Townsend, Tennessee. Once we landed on “Savor the Smokies” as the tagline, the rest followed naturally.

For type, I paired Brandon Grotesque for headers and body copy with Lemongrass Script as an accent, giving it that old park sign feel: a little rugged, a little handmade. The palette leans into deep forest greens, warm browns, and a grounding brick red, and the full suite includes a primary logo, alternate logo, submarks, a round badge, and supporting patterns and illustrations for one consistent look across packaging, signage, and print.
