WordPress Hosting & Maintenance

Launch day is just the beginning

WordPress sites need regular care to stay fast, secure, and working the way they should. I’ll handle the behind-the-scenes stuff so you can get back to running your business.

What I take care of

The upkeep your site needs, handled

Updates

WordPress, your theme, and your plugins all get regular updates. I install them safely and check that nothing breaks.

Backups

Regular copies of your whole site, so if something ever goes wrong, it can be restored quickly.

Security

I keep an eye out for anything suspicious and fix weak spots before they turn into problems.

Uptime

On Hosted Care, I get an alert if your site goes down, often before you or your customers notice.

Care plans

Pick the level of help you need

Every plan keeps your site updated, backed up, and protected. The difference is where your site lives and how often it changes.

Essential Care

Already have hosting? I’ll keep your WordPress site updated and protected.

Hosted Care

Your site lives on my server, and I take care of everything behind the scenes.

Hosted Care Plus

For sites that change often, like online shops. Hosting plus time set aside each month for updates.

EVERYTHING IN HOSTED CARE, PLUS:

On Squarespace, Shopify, or Showit? Those platforms take care of hosting and technical updates for you. If you’d still rather be hands-off, I can handle your content updates and changes each month. Ask about a plan

Already have a WordPress site?

I can take care of it, even if I didn't build it

Outdated plugins, a slow site, or a developer who stopped answering emails? I’ll get your site cleaned up, then keep it that way.

1

Site check-up

I look under the hood: plugins, speed, security, backups, and anything that’s about to cause trouble.

2

Cleanup

I fix what I find, update everything safely, and move your site to my server if that’s the better fit.

3

Ongoing care

From there, one of my monthly care plans keeps it running smoothly.

Hosting & Maintenance FAQs

If your site is already hosted somewhere you’re happy with, Essential Care keeps it updated and protected. If you’d rather hand everything off, Hosted Care moves your site to my server and I take care of it all. If your site changes often, like an online shop with new products or a business with regular updates, Hosted Care Plus adds monthly hours so those changes are covered too.

Usually, yes. I work on sites hosted all over the place, from Kinsta to GoDaddy to servers I manage myself. If your current setup is causing real problems, I’ll tell you honestly. But I’m not going to make you move just because it’s easier for me.

That depends on where your site lives, and either way works. If you host with me, your site sits on a server I manage and that account is mine, though your website isn’t tied to it. If you already have hosting of your own, somewhere like Kinsta or GoDaddy, that account is yours outright and I just work inside it. Either way, if you ever decide to move your site somewhere else or bring it in house, you can, and I’ll help you pack it up. I want you to stay because the work is good, not because leaving is complicated.

Your domain is registered in your name, on your own account, and it stays that way. I’ll walk you through setup if you’re starting from scratch, but the account is yours.

Absolutely. Your site is still yours to edit. Change text, swap images, or add blog posts any time. A care plan just means someone is keeping the behind-the-scenes parts up to date, so your changes don’t break anything.

Your hours cover changes and updates to your site, like adding products, editing pages, posting new content, or swapping out seasonal banners. If I designed your brand, they can go toward graphics too, like social posts or print pieces. I track time in 15-minute increments, so a quick text fix won’t use up a whole hour. Hours reset each month and don’t roll over, so it’s best to use them as you go. If a month needs more time than your plan includes, the extra is billed at my hourly rate. Since I’m a one-person studio, requests sent in the last three business days of the month can’t count on the full remaining hours. Sending things earlier gives me time to do them right.

Yes, in a slightly different way. Squarespace, Shopify, and Showit handle hosting and technical updates themselves, so you won’t need backups or plugin updates from me. But if you’d rather not make changes yourself, I can take care of content updates, new products, seasonal changes, and graphics on a monthly plan.

This might be a good fit if...
