This one means a little extra to me. Foothills Family Collective is a nonprofit right here in Blount County, connecting families with trusted, family-focused wellness providers so parents don’t have to figure out this whole parenthood thing on their own. As a mom with kiddos of my own in this community, I know firsthand how much it helps to have a village, and how hard that village can be to find. Building this site felt personal in a way a lot of projects don’t.
Their mission is simple but it matters: bring providers together instead of leaving them siloed, so families can actually find the support they need, when they need it. That meant the site had two audiences to speak to at once, families looking for a village and providers looking for a network built on collaboration instead of competition, and it needed to welcome both without feeling split down the middle.
I built out clear paths for each: one for families exploring membership and community, one for providers looking at what it means to join. The design leans warm and approachable, the kind of site you’d want to land on if you’re a new parent feeling a little overwhelmed and looking for people who get it. Photos of families do a lot of the heavy lifting here, along with clear membership breakdowns so nobody has to dig for pricing or next steps.
It launched yesterday, and I could not be prouder to have my name on something built for families in my own community, mine included.
