Website Design & Branding in Maryville, TN

For Wild Heart Design, Maryville is home. A lot of the businesses I work with are right here in Blount County too, and that’s my favorite part of the job. Helping another small local business look like what its owner has actually built is where my heart is.

I traded the Pacific Northwest for Rocky Top back in 2011 and have been putting down roots here ever since, so when I say I know this area, I mean I’ve been raising a family in it for over a decade. Plenty of my clients found me the way just about everything gets found around here, because someone they know mentioned my name.

When you work with me, you get me. The person you talk to in that first conversation is the same person designing your logo and building your site months later. And if it’s helpful, we can meet for coffee somewhere in town and talk it all through in person.

Most people reach out for one of two reasons

The brand fell behind

Their business has grown and their brand hasn’t kept up. The logo got thrown together back when you were still figuring things out, the website came from a template or a favor from a friend, and none of it really looks like what you’ve built since. That usually starts as a branding project, and the website follows once we know what it’s supposed to look like.

The website fell behind

The brand feels right but the website doesn’t. Maybe it’s slow, maybe you can’t update it without calling someone, maybe nobody’s finding it in search, or maybe it just doesn’t feel like a business someone would hand their credit card to. That’s a web design project, and the basic SEO is built in rather than something I sell you later.

Either way, you walk away owning all of it. Your files, your site, no strings attached.

What I've noticed about doing business in Blount County

Plenty of businesses around here get their start on word of mouth alone. Maryville is small but growing, and news travels fast. Especially anything to do with food. One “oh, I heard new restaurant is opening next month!” sparks a telephone chain, and by opening day there’s a line out the door.

That kind of buzz is wonderful, and it’s how a lot of my own clients found me. But Maryville isn’t as small as it used to be. More people moving in means more businesses opening every year, and somebody who hears your name now has three other options they could look up in the same breath.

And looking you up is exactly what they do. The telephone chain ends at a Google search. Whatever they find in those first few seconds is your whole first impression, and if it’s nothing at all, or a Facebook page that hasn’t been touched since March, that little spark of interest quietly fizzles out before it ever reaches your door.

A website is where the buzz turns into a customer. Whether you’re opening a storefront on Broadway down the street from Maryville High School, hoping to catch foot traffic at Foothills Mall, or running the whole thing out of your house, that’s the part I can help with.

Testimonial

We had a need for a re-wroking of our website and needed it sooner than later. We were trying to include a new start up and needed a web presence quickly. Kalie was very helpful and guided us thru the process in a professional and personal way. Highly recommend Wild Heart Design for any web project you may have.

FAQs

I’d love to! Most projects start with a conversation somewhere in town and then move to email and shared files once we’re underway. Some people like to meet up a few times along the way, and others are perfectly happy handling everything online. Whatever’s easiest for you works for me.

It really comes down to how many pages you need, whether you’re selling online, and whether branding and SEO is part of it. After one conversation you’ll have a quote with a real number, not a vague range designed to get you on another call.

All the time! Alcoa, Louisville, Rockford, Townsend, Seymour, and everywhere in between. If you’re in the county, you’re close enough.

Ready when you are!

Whether you’re ready to jump in or just curious about what a project would look like, I’d love to hear from you. Tell me a little about your business and what’s been bugging you about how it looks right now, and I’ll be honest about what I’d recommend.
